The varsity boys baseball team has the same high aspirations as every season: to win conference, regionals, and to make a deep postseason run.

The varsity boys baseball team is also in a similar position as it is almost every year when they begin the season. The team believes that they have what it takes to have a really good season and be as successful as they are every year.

While they view themselves highly, conference and regionals may not come so easy this year.

“Our area is so deep in baseball talent that literally every team is outstanding,” Mr. Jeff Petrovic, head coach, said.

Some of the tougher competition in the area is Plainfield North and Plainfield South, Providence, and JCA among others.

“We have a well0rounded team that I believe can be very successful this year,” junior Noah Sustaita said.

The Indians are led by seniors Hayden Laczynski, Luke Faifer, Cherokee Lebeau, and Seth Gutknecht.

The Indians first game is an away game against Morris on March 20.
