The girls volleyball team lost to Plainfield North on Sept. 9.

Unfortunately Minooka couldn’t get their first away win against Plainfield North on Sept. 9.

The first set Minooka took a loss 25-13, but one of the big sparks for Minooka was Jada Hampton with 4 kills. The other spark was Skylar Ryan.

Ryan, the libero for the Indians, had 5 digs and 5 serve receptions.

“I thought we weren’t cooperating as a team and we just could have done better overall,” Ryan said.

One thing that Ryan said went well was the Minooka defense backing them up.

The second set Minooka lost again 25-10 sending them home with a hurtful night. A key set player was Anna Baranski.

Baranski, had 11 assists with 5.5 assists per set.

”We had a hard time siding out against Plainfield North and we let them get on a couple of long runs,” Baranski said.“This hurt our confidence, affecting every other aspect of the game.”
