The sophomore boys basketball team is coached by Jason Boe.

The Minooka sophomore boys basketball team had a hard fought game versus Plainfield East Bengals on Jan 13. The boys took out the W in double overtime.

Coach Jason Boe was very proud of what the boys accomplished.

¨We have different players step up for us each game. In the Plainfield East game, sophomore Jordan Freeman scored 21 points, and Jaden Boe scored 17,” coach Boe said. “They were both hot throughout the game.”

Coach Boe really likes his team because they are unselfish and that’s what a team needs to win a game.

“But what’s great is that our players are not selfish, and know how to get the ball to the hot hand,” coac Boe said. “That’s why different guys lead us each night. We recognize who is playing well, and get them the ball. No one seems to really care who has the most points, as long as we play together and are making plays that win us the game.¨

Freeman said, “We had pretty good ball movement, we ran all the plays we should have, and it led us to get good buckets.”

Freeman had 21 points versus the Bengals.

”I thought we did good, I thought all the guards were scoring a lot and got a lot of points,” sophomore Kevin Bisbee said.

Bisbee thought the game went well and was happy that they won in double overtime.
