Delso Studer and Josh Costa were a big part of the Minooka JV boys golf team win over Plainfield North on Sept. 18. Minooka won 175-181.
Costa shot a 41, and Studer shot a 40.
“I was hitting my irons great during the whole round,” said Studer
This was a big part of his game and helped him shoot very low. It also helped him to get on more greens to have putts for birdie and par.
“I really wanted to stay motivated to help the team finish strong and get the big win over North,” said Studer.
Although he was the low man for that match, he wanted more.
“I am not too happy about my performance last night. I had some bad chips and that made me have some bad holes, “said Studer.
Costa was happy with his drives during the match out at Heritage Bluffs in Channahon.
“My drives were staying in the fairway on every hole during the match,” Costa said. “Something that kept me motivated was that I was having a good round, and it would make me shoot a good score, and coach (Petrovic) would be happy, but if I didn’t he would not be too happy,” said Costa.
Ethan Lehman is a member of the JV boys golf team.
