Senior night for the Minooka boys golf team ended on a sour note versus Plainfield North.
The Minooka boys golf team celebrated senior night on Sept 18. They lost to Plainfield North at Heritage Bluffs. The score was 158-170.
Following the loss, their record on the season is now 5-7
Despite Minooka’s loss, there were some notable performances from a few of the players
Ethan Walsh shot the lowest for Minooka with a 40.
Also, junior golfer Gabe Ciesielski shot 42 versus Plainfield North, the 2nd lowest for Minooka
“I tried to stay positive, but I kept making small errors, and that led to me making bigger mistakes. My takeaways was that I need to work on my chipping,” Ciesielski said, “We need to put it in the past and move on.”
Another notable performer for Minooka was senior Lucas Heap.
“Definitely a tough loss, but we’ve got to practice to get better. We definitely struggled that day,” Heap said.
Heap shot 45 versus Plainfield North, third lowest for Minooka.
