Plainfield North’s sophomore football team took home a win against Minooka on Sept. 26.
“Going into the game trying to win, to get revenge from last year, but sadly that didn’t happen,” Minooka football player Brycen Babecki said.
Plainfield North winning 28-12, didn’t sit well with some players.
“Don’t want to lose again, especially Homecoming,” Minooka wide receiver Jaydan Hoover said.
Even though the game was lost, the team still fought hard during the game
“I feel I played good, I had 12 tackles. They ran to the other side more and I just did the best I could being an outside linebacker,” Minooka linebacker, running back, and defensive player of the game, Babecki said.
After the first half, the offense started to figure themselves out.
“We really turned up. Cut out mistakes, and started catching more balls,” Hoover said.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to pull through for the win.
“After the game, I was very upset but I realized we needed to just move on from this and lock in for next week,” Babecki said.
