Kylie Loomis plays shooting guard on the girls varsity basketball team. She has been playing basketball since she was in first grade. The interview with Nook News has been edited for clarity and length. 

Q: Did you play on the basketball team last year?
A: I did.

Q: How is your overall feeling about the team?
A: I feel like it’s a good group of girls, and we get along and work together well.

Q: Do you think the team has performed better or worse than last year?
A: I feel that we’re gonna have to work harder to get where we were last year, but I don’t think we’re crazy worse or better.

Q: Do you play any other sports than basketball?
A: No

Q: When did you start playing basketball?
A: Oh gosh, when I was really little, like first grade maybe

Q: Do you see yourself pursuing basketball any further than high school?
A: Yeah, I will be playing in college.

Q: Is there any certain college you would like to attend?
A: Nothing in particular. I don’t have anything in mind right now.

Q: Do you have any siblings?
A: Yes, I have a younger sister Natalie. 

Q: Do you have any guardians or parents that attended Minooka?
A: I do, my dad.

Q: Hobbies that you have?
A: Playing basketball and hanging out with friends and family.

Q: Would you rather eat cantaloupe, apple or pear if you could only eat a fruit?
A: An apple.
