Junior Trent Voss films the boys basketball game against Oswego on Dec. 14.

The Minooka boys basketball team would not be the same if junior Trent Voss was not there on the sideline to cheer them on and to motivate them.

Voss comes from a background of basketball and has played basketball since he was little.

“I played it in grade school, like all throughout,” Voss said.

He is now the manager for the boys team. Although Voss was one of the last cuts on the team, head coach Kevin Cain, thought that Voss would help the basketball team and program.

“He is a hard-working student in the classroom and is always willing to help those around him get things done. … This is why he makes out basketball team and program better,” Cain said.

Voss helps the team set up on practice and he also helps the team on game day.

“He makes sure to get everything ready and runs the clock, puts air in all the balls, and sometimes jumps in drills in practice,” Trent Hudak, junior, said. “He helps us throughout the season, and he videotapes for us and he helps contributes to us in the game.”

Voss also gets along well with the team and the coaching staff.

“He has a great relationship with everybody, he doesn’t really talk much, but everybody likes to goof around and joke with him still,” Jaden Paige, junior, said, “He’s our manager, he’s always gonna be a part of the team.”
