Junior Natalia Milazzo plays shooting guard and small forward for the Minooka girls varsity basketball team. She has been playing basketball since 6th grade. This interview with Nook News has been edited for clarity and length. 

Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: My favorite movie probably has to be Top Gun Maverick. 

Q: How do you feel about the start of the season?
A: The start of our season has been really good so far. We won our first two conference games last week. As a team, we work really well together. 

Q: How do you think the team will do in the future?
A: In the future, I think our team can do well, it’s not going to be easy every game, but I believe if we work as a team we can make it really far this season.

Q: What aspect of your game do you think you need to improve on?
A: In a game, something I need to work on is being stronger with the ball and being confident in my shot.

Q: How will you improve your game?
A: If I want to improve, on my own time I will practice shooting for muscle memory, and during practice, I just need to work hard with my teammates.

Q: Do you think your team will make it far this season?
A: If we work as a team and push each other every practice I think we can make it far in the season.

Q: What’s your favorite color?
A: My favorite color is emerald green.

Q: What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?
A: My favorite ice cream flavor is rainbow sherbet.

Q: What’s the strangest food combo you’ve tried?
A: To me the strangest food combo I have tried is broccoli and marinara sauce.
