Organizing clutter is one way to keep busy during the stay-at-home order.

Unfortunately, Gov. JB Pritzker’s stay-at-home order on March 20 was just the beginning.

A virus that some thought was no big deal is now affecting more people than we imagined. Many people lost their jobs and don’t have the income to afford enough necessities.

As the number of cases grows, the more we realize the severity of this virus. It is best to stay home and stop the possibility of spreading the disease.

But what can we do to keep ourselves busy during this time?

One thing that might be a great way to get out of the house without risking any lives is going for a hike or bike ride. This is a great way to get out of the house and feel like you have done something productive. It’s hard not to lose your mind while being cooped up in a house.

Another activity to pass time could be a movie night with your family, or alone if you prefer. You can sit down and watch one of your favorite movies, or one you’ve been wanting to see, and make popcorn and whatever else you’d like. This is a great way to pass time on these days that seem to drag on.

Organizing is a way to pass time that can help you declutter your life. Whether it’s rearranging your closet or deep cleaning your room, it will take up your time and make the environment that you are stuck in more pleasing.

While it may be hard for some of us, there are others who are thriving right now. Sitting at home and watching Netflix may seem like a dream. This is great, but they still need to make sure that they aren’t sitting in the same room all day and only leaving for food. This can cause unhealthy behaviors that won’t make you feel the best.

With all being said, there are so many things to do in order to pass the time away.  At some point we can go back to our normal routines, we just don’t know when yet. Take this pass times into consideration to help you get through these tough times.
