On April 15, the Minooka freshman boys volleyball team played the Lincoln-Way West Warriors. The final score was 2-1, Lincoln-Way West.  

“We weren’t playing as a team,” said Anthony Brandani, “We weren’t calling hits or anything.” 

Another teammate agreed.

“We just weren’t calling balls, and that’s the main reason we lost,” said Cilas Cosmano-Sevilla.

In the first set, the score was 25-19. In the beginning of this set though, they were down by 13 at one point. So the boys came back.

In the second set they were ready and they were up 9-7. But this turned around quickly, the Warriors went on to win this set, too, going 25-17 this time. 

 “We played terribly, but we can still always get better for our next game if we just work harder,” said Brandani.

In the third set, they really started to lock in. Even though they already lost they still played. But it still wasn’t enough The Warriors won 16-14.

“If we work a lot harder, we can blow this next team out,” said Cilas Cosmano-Sevilla.
