Thomas Zbranek started running cross country freshman year. He likes running cross country because he said it helps him stay in shape for all of his other sports. This interview with Nook News has been edited for clarity and length.
Q: What are your goals for this season?
A: I think my goal for this season is to run a 5k in 17 minutes.
Q: Who do you look up to on the team and why?
A: I think someone that I look up to is Ryan Resar because he is really good.
Q: What meet are you most looking forward to and why?
A: I think I’m looking forward to the Red Devil Invite because that one was really fun and I ran well (last year).

Q: How are you going to stay disciplined this season?
A: I am not going to let negatives affect how I feel and just keep going.
Q: How are you going to take care of yourself this season?
A: I’m gonna make sure I get my proper nutrition, water and sleep.
Q: Jordan or Lebron and why?
A: Jordan because I’m from Chicago.

Thomas is very dedicated to his sports, running and swimming. He does this by practicing every day, eating properly and keeping his grades high. He is someone that every athlete should know because of his dedication.
