Connected, hardworking, and selfless, all words to describe Minooka girls varsity basketball team.  This is demonstrated as they share their experiences with their teammates about bonding, memories, and more. 

“We do a lot of team bonding and have a lot of team dinners and have fun on the court,” senior Madelyn Kiper said.

Senior Jaelle Hamilton said they stay connected throughout their practices and constantly hangout outside of basketball

In addition, they also explain how their team excels on the court.

“Our biggest strength is us not being selfless. We share the ball well on the court, which a lot of teams struggle with. But we all share well,” Naya Carter said 

Kiper believes that their team’s work ethic and how they play all throughout the game is an admirable quality of their team, showing how hardworking they are.

They also explains how their team is special.

“People should know that we have a lot of potential and we could totally go far with our players,” Carter said.

As of Dec. 10, the team is 8-1. 

“We have the ability to do good and I think we have the ability to go far this year,” said.

Overall, the team has had many enjoyable moments with each other.

“My favorite moment is when we made it to the (WJOL) championship against Providence,” Hamilton said.

Carter described their enjoyable hangout as a team where they all had fun together, proving how connected they are.
